
Carmen is the Director of Studies and is based in 97a, St. Aldate’s Street. She is responsible for the Academic Support Programme, and leads a team of Personal Tutors who help students to organise their academic studies. As an integral part of the programme for many students is applications for university entrance, study skills and the learning of English as a Foreign Language, Carmen also co-ordinates and advises students on these various courses, and occasionally teaching French and Italian.
Having read Modern Languages at Exeter University (which included a year at Bologna University’s Specialised School for Interpreters and Translators), Carmen graduated with an M.A. in Mediaeval and Modern Languages from Brasenose College, Oxford. She also acquired a CELTA qualification in 2009.
