This page sets out the timetable and procedures the examination boards and Greene’s follow in relation to the publication of your public examination results (A levels, GCSEs and IGCSEs). If you wish to query your results, you should be prepared to act quickly once the examination results have been published, as there are deadlines which may affect you.
For reasons of data protection, the examination boards only release to schools and colleges the results taken by their own candidates.
On results days, your public examination results are released through your Greene’s Online profile and you will receive an e-mail notifying you that this has happened. They will become visible by 9.00 a.m. on your examination tabs for JCQ examination boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, etc.) and 12 noon for other exam boards (CIE, etc.). During results day you should also receive an automated e-mail confirming your results – please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any problems accessing your results. For a calendar of results days in 2019-2020, please see below.
The examination boards no longer produce formal results documentation. Instead, they provide schools and colleges with electronic copies of statements of results. These can be e-mailed out on request.
Certificates are only awarded to those students who have cashed in their A levels or their GCSEs, or who have taken IGCSEs. They are sent to Greene’s approximately two months after the release of results.
You will need either to come in to Greene’s to collect your certificates in person, bringing photographic ID, or to provide a stamped, addressed envelope (A4 size) so we can post them out. Please note that Greene’s does not undertake to post out your certificate(s) unless you have provided us with an A4 envelope with the correct postage and address.
