Undergraduate study at the University of Birmingham, U.K.

The Greene’s Geoscience Diploma is an exciting alternative to A level study.  It is an opportunity to study at the University of Birmingham, one of the U.K.’s prestigious Russell Group universities.

Birmingham ranks in the top global 100 universities (in the 2016-2017 QS World University Rankings), and the Greene’s Diploma gives students the opportunity to study on a number of undergraduate degree programmes at the university, which include:

BSc (Hons) Geology

BSc (Hons) Geology and Physical Geography

BSc (Hons) Palaeobiology and Palaeoenvironments

In addition, students gaining a Distinction on the course can gain access to the following four-year MSci courses:

MSci (Hons) Palaeobiology and Palaeoenvironments

MSci (Hons) Palaeobiology and Palaeoenvironments with an International Year

To progress on from the Geoscience Diploma onto one of the undergraduate courses at the University of Birmingham listed above a minimum mark of 65% attained at the end of the Diploma needs to be attained.

Students who obtain a Merit (70-79%) can be considered for direct entry to the University of Birmingham MSci (4 year undergraduate options of the same courses) and those who obtain a Distinction (+80%) for entry onto the University of Birmingham 4 year MSci International versions of those courses.

A teacher who is attempting to teach without inspiring the pupil with a desire to learn is hammering on a cold iron.
