Position description:

The Operations Co-ordinator is the focal point for all operational and administrative aspects of the examination & testing and tuition services provided by Greene’s Educational Services.  This includes acting as the main contact point with the awarding bodies for public examinations (Exam Boards).

In addition to public examinations, Greene’s also runs trial exams at regular intervals and a number of tests for a range of purposes – such as proctored exams.  The Operations Co-ordinator is responsible for all operational and administrative aspects of these services.  Including the registration, of candidates, communication of exam and testing arrangements, distribution of results; and the smooth running of the exam sessions themselves.  Public and trial exam sessions require making sure that sufficient administration and invigilation staff resources have been arranged for; and – in the case of trial exams – exam markers have been booked.

The Operations Co-ordinator will also need to take responsibility for the arrangements associated with coursework, language oral exams and applications for special access arrangements such as extra time.

The summer public examination session in May and June is particularly busy.

Science practical courses are mostly designed to meet the requirements of the A level practical endorsement and are administered and managed by the Senior Scientist at Greene’s.  The Operations Co-ordinator is responsible for registration of candidates with the examination boards and communication of results.

Tuition services consist of courses of individual tuition of varying duration.  The Operations Co-ordinator is responsible for the tuition arrangements: liaising with tutors, setting-up initial timetables, etc.; administrative arrangements: setting up students and courses on Greene’s Online, checking & reviewing tutorial report (slips), etc.; communicating with students and their parents on an on-going basis; and dealing with follow-up requests for tuition.

A vital part of the role is effective working and communication with the Centre Registrar who is responsible for the evaluation, progressing and invoicing of all new enquiries.
